Summary

Bun Buds was transforming into something bigger and Jake wanted to improve the brand visually.

From the beginning, Bun Buds had (2) characters they used consistently and wanted to keep them in the mix. I was happy to oblige because these little dudes were doing work for the brand and it was refreshing to see some mascots. We worked around them, revamped some of the details and created a new logo with typefaces and color schemes to boot.

I’m honored to be apart of the journey with Jake and the Bun Buds crew, and I can’t thank them enough for the opportunity.

Summary

Before there was Fleetwood Candle Co, it was Pothead Planters. My good friend Taylor Bruzzi is at the helm of the company and it runs well on all her brilliant, creative ideas. From candles to earrings and custom pottery, she’s absolutely killing it.

In 2022, we finally got a chance to collaborate and built some badass packaging, unveiling a limited edition set of candles inspired by our stories from where we live. “Holy Smoke” is inspired by Taylor’s new home, Colorado, and “Dead Sea” is inspired by my home in Rhode Island.

Production Drawings

Label designs for Pothead Planters' "Holy Smoke" limited edition. The left is a round, orange cap label with the text "POTHEAD PLANTERS HOLY SMOKE LIMITED EDITION" and a skull icon. The right is a green rectangular front label featuring a cactus, a moon, and the text "POTHEAD PLANTERS HOLY SMOKE CUSTOM LIMITED EDITION QUALITY." Color references included.
Labels for "Pothead Planters" Dead Sea limited edition. The cap label is circular with an orange background featuring a skull and the words "Dead Sea" and "Limited Edition". The front label is rectangular with a blue background, vintage diving helmet illustration, and similar text, indicating custom quality product. Color codes are included at the top right.

End Result

Vintage Yashica camera, potted cactus plant, Pothead Planters containers, and books on a fluffy white rug.

Summary

Savanna contacted me about Indigo Hair Studio’s moving situation and they needed signage for the new building. I surveyed the site and mocked up a few visions so we could see what was possible. We agreed glass graphics would do the trick, and it would allow us to produce something quickly as time was of the essence.

Before production took place, we made revisions to her logo to improve the end results and added some fresh new typefaces to accommodate it.

Not long after, Indigo Hair Studio went on to win RI Monthly’s Best of RI 2024 - East Bay Color Specialists. Shout out to Savanna for trusting me with her brand. Congrats on all your success!
